Since High School:
Al graduated from the University of Utah where he
played golf and debated. He stayed there for law
school and practiced in Salt Lake for five years
before being lured to Los Angeles. Al litigated
commercial disputes worldwide and played “big firm”
partner for twenty five years out of LA and San
Francisco. He was the original LA LAW guy. He
left that life in 2003 when his LA residence was
destroyed by fire. Al now lives in downtown Los
Angeles, does some occasional consulting/project
work, and volunteers at homeless and abused
women shelters. He has sons Dustin (1978),
Michael (1988) and Christopher (1990).
