Since High School:

With a BA in Communications Design from the
University of Illinois at Chicago, I began my career
as a graphic designer, eventually working my way
up to art director and creative director, including a
10-year stint at Foot, Cone & Belding Advertising
in Chicago.  After then running my own Michigan
Avenue agency for a time, I moved to Seoul, South
Korea to work as a Design/Marketing Director for a
series of Korean-American communications
agencies.

After returning to the U.S. in 1994, I began working
as the Director of Marketing & Communication for
Palatine’s very own Sellstrom Manufacturing, and
shortly thereafter married my 3rd wife, Bibiana
Kim, a Korean artist studying at the Art Institute of
Chicago.  After five glorious years of marriage,
Bibi sadly passed from inoperable brain cancer.

Single and enjoying my early 60's, I am out there
strutting my creativity and enjoying life.

I now live in Schaumburg and am President of
Barr Communications.
